Olympus 7.5 Fr 7° Semi-Rigid Ureteroscope Refurbished
This semi-rigid ureteroscope is used for retrograde endoscopy of the ureter and lower urinary tract. A narrow, minimally flexible shaft advances from the bladder up the ureter, relaying an optical image to a coupled camera.
Semi-rigid ureteroscopes hold a largely straight shaft that tolerates slight bending without losing image transmission, bridging rigid cystoscopy and fully flexible ureteroscopy. One or more working channels pass irrigation and instruments such as laser fibers, baskets, and graspers, and the scope draws illumination from an external light source through a light post. A straight configuration suits the distal and mid ureter where deflection is less critical. These scopes are operated by urologists, frequently with lithotripsy accessories.
Key Features
- 7.5 Fr shaft - sets the outer caliber governing ureteral passage.
- 7-degree optic - offsets the field slightly from the shaft axis for forward-oblique viewing.
- Dual working channel - separates irrigation from instrument passage for stable flow during intervention.
- 330 cm working length - reaches the mid and upper ureter from the meatus.
- Light-post illumination - accepts a fiberoptic cable so brightness scales with the connected source.
