The Hologic MyoSure is a hysteroscopic tissue-removal system used to resect intrauterine pathology under direct vision. It combines a hysteroscope with a mechanical cutting device that excises and evacuates tissue through the scope in a single pass.

Hysteroscopic tissue-removal systems replace electrosurgical loop resection with a rotating or reciprocating mechanical blade that cuts and aspirates tissue at the same time, clearing debris from the field as it works. The device runs inside a hysteroscope that distends the uterine cavity with fluid and provides the optical view, and it connects to a dedicated control unit and suction. Because cutting is mechanical rather than energy-based, the approach avoids thermal spread at the resection site. These systems are used by gynecologists for polyps, fibroids, and retained tissue.
