The Richard Wolf PANOVIEW PLUS is a 2.7 mm 25-degree rod-lens cystoscope used for cystoscopy. It relays a direct optical image of the bladder and urethra to a coupled camera head for display on a surgical monitor.

Rigid rod-lens endoscopes carry the image along a train of glass rod lenses rather than a fiber bundle, which transmits more light and resolves finer detail than older thin-lens or fiberoptic designs. The scope has no light source or sensor of its own: it couples to a separate camera head at the eyepiece and draws illumination from a light cable connected at the light post, and it is introduced through the urethra through a cystoscope sheath. Its forward-oblique optic gives an angled field that lets the operator survey around the central axis by rotating the scope rather than repositioning the sheath. Instruments of this class are handled by urologists.
